Forthcoming Trips; Last Trip of Season!!! 20TH-27TH MARCH - Chalet Verjus - Morzine - Spaces left....
Welcome to pistepals (the site for solo skiers and boarders to look for a skiing or boarding buddy or accommodation with no single supplements) Stay and have a look around at our recommended chalets - or head straight on over to the forum and hook up with fellow solo skiers and snowboarders. www.pistepals.com/forum As a solo skier (and now "trainee" boarder) myself, I found the industry very much geared towards couples and families. Skiing and boarding alone is expensive and lonely. So I thought, why not create somewhere where people can meet up and find other solo skiers and boarders to holiday with, or find chalets with no single supplement. Although Pistepals trips aren't only for single skiers, we had a couple meet and marry from this trip! So they aren't marketed as solo skiing holidays but are perfect if you are in this situation! If you are looking for a fellow skier or boarder to make up a group then post a message in the forum. Once you've got a group, then check out the chalets for groups page and you will find chalets in there that are most set up for groups of indivduals rather than loads of family rooms. Or perhaps offer some advice to other solo skiers and boarders as to what to expect, which resorts are good etc. Have fun here - tell all your friends and let us know if you've had a successful skiing or boarding holiday! Why not be inspired and read about our recent adventure to Les Gets! **NewsFlash!! - New website for catered chalet holidays. ChaletConsultant.com will organise your trip for you - leaving you free to enjoy your leisure time! |

The coming weekend should be a fairly snowy one with a fair amount of fresh snowfall forecast for France, Switzerland, Italy and Austria. In Italy, Cervinia should receive 50cm of snow by the middle of next week. The snow should be heaviest on Friday 19th and Monday 22nd February and a dry weekend is expected. The next snowstorm should move over after Wednesday 24th February. In Austria, rain is possible at the lowest slopes. Higher temperatures will bring wetter snow or rain to the villages of resorts like Saalbach, St Wolfgang and Ellmau. Further up, snow is expected to fall though which should make for some fun skiing. 40cm of snow is expected at Voss in Norway by Friday 26th February. Most of the snow is expected to fall next week but Sunday could see heavy snow as well. Further Information can be found at the BBC Weather Centre or for more detailed and resort specific information go to our partner site which is http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/sports/snowsports/snownews.shtml |
