Early-Bird Lift Passes - How to get one?

Hi guys
Am looking to do a season, or part of one - preferably in Tignes - 2010/11 and wanted to know more about possibilities for getting any discounts on my lift pass.
I was under the impression that if you buy your lift-pass early, you can get a better price, but don't know when these passes become available and how to get hold of one? I'm not sure whether you have to be in resort to buy them in person, and/or have some proof that you are working/living in resort for the season?
I've looked on the Tignes resort website, but can only find the regular prices for a season's pass and no mention of "early-bird" passes.
If anyone has any tips about this, that would be great.
Cheers
Ali
