Hi Phil! Yes you are right in that Christmas is quieter than New year but Morzine in general is quieter than many other resorts as the lift system is well designed. Take la plagne for example, a dreadful lift system that is only exacerbated by school holidays!
I've never had to queue very much or struggle to get in to places around the town during Christmas so if anyone is questioning whether to make a visit at this time of year, I'd say definitely come at Christmas but only to Morzine!
Even now you can also find cheap return flights to keep the costs down too.
